The New Hong Kong Icon

Colors of Asia (artist Francesco Lietti and architects Martin Riese and Marcin Klocek) recently won the Design Competition 1+1 for the expansion of the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of History. 

This open-entry architectural competition to help redesigning the facade of the existing museum received more than 60 applications. Our winning scheme was inspired by a vibrant Hong Kong cityscape painted by Francesco Lietti.

Colors of Asia will liaise and collaborate with star Architect Farrells, an architecture and urban design firm founded by British architect Sir Terry Farrell, with offices in London, Manchester, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Farrells team, lead by Stefan Krummeck, are in charge of revamping and redeveloping the large museum, which occupies and entire city block in the East Tsim Sha Tsui area.

Renowned Artist Francesco Lietti Completes Striking Painting for Cushman & Wakefield's Hong Kong Offices

Internationally acclaimed artist Francesco Lietti has unveiled a stunning new artwork commissioned for the main lobby of Cushman & Wakefield's Hong Kong offices, located in the prestigious One Island East skyscraper in Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay. The large-scale mixed media painting, measuring an impressive 200 x 600 cm, now graces the entrance of one of the world’s leading commercial real estate services firms.

Francesco Lietti expressed his gratitude to John, Bryant, and the entire team at Cushman & Wakefield for the incredible opportunity to contribute to their vibrant workspace. "This commission has been a remarkable experience, and I am thrilled to see my work in such a dynamic setting" said Lietti.

He also extended his thanks to Anna, Nathan, and the Steven Leach Group for their pivotal role in recommending his work to Cushman & Wakefield. "Their support and belief in my vision were instrumental in making this project a reality" Lietti added.

The new painting is expected to become a centerpiece in Cushman & Wakefield's office, enhancing the aesthetic and inspiring all who enter the lobby. This collaboration highlights Lietti's unique artistic vision and marks another significant milestone in his distinguished career.
