Francesco Lietti is an Italian artist based in Hong Kong whose work explores the relationship between urban environments, spatial perception, and material construction. Drawing from his background in architecture, he develops paintings and mixed-media works that translate cities and landscapes into layered visual compositions shaped by rhythm, density, fragmentation, and structural form.

Over time, his practice has evolved from the direct observation of urban environments toward a broader investigation into the systems and spatial conditions that shape them. Layering, compression, repetition, and material depth have become central elements within works that move between painting, collage, and sculptural construction.

Living and working in Hong Kong continues to strongly influence this evolution. The city’s density, verticality, and coexistence of natural and built environments inform an artistic practice focused on spatial complexity, transformation, and the experience of contemporary space.
